Second creative and brand design for student made collaboration beer with New Belgium Brewing Company, Odell Brewing Company, and the Fermentation Science and Technology department at Colorado State University.

Two Beers. Two Labels.

What makes this beer so unique is that it was brewed at two different breweries using slightly different ingredients and brewing techniques, thus the two labels. The Fermentation Sciences team presented the name and description of the beer as the Fungal Overlord, and rough sketches of a brewer hypnotized into needing to make beer. I took these rough concepts and adapted them into two characters, each meant to represent the difference between the two beers, but still fit together in the larger story and picture. Thus, the hypnotized brewer and the overlord personified.
